Aw naw, guess he shouldn’t have had another shot of that patron…
Last night, Chris Young was arrested outside of a Nashville bar after he allegedly assaulted a Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission agent.
According to court documents, the 38 year-old country singer got into an altercation with TABC agents after a compliance check inside Tin Roof off Demonbreun St.
Young, who was apparently “slurring his speech,” then followed the agents to the DawgHouse saloon, asking multiple questions while filming them.
The officer reported that Young then “put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder.”
According to the affidavit, the agent pushed Young “to create distance” and then bystanders got between the two and began “yelling and screaming” to break it up. Another agent apparently tried to have a conversation with Young, who reportedly began walking backward and not complying with direct orders.
The arrest documents state that it took two agents to physically restrain and put the “Gettin’ You Home” singer in handcuffs.
Young was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault of an officer. He was released early this morning from the Metro jail.
