I don’t think Jesus done it this way.
Over the weekend, Riley Green made a stop in Fredrick, Maryland during the town’s Great Fredrick Fair. The Alabama native treated fans to a plethora of hits ranging from “Different ‘Round Here” to his recent #1 single, “Worst Way” along with covers of Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)” as well as Jamey Johnson’s “In Color.”
During the latter part of the set, Green performed a solo, acoustic rendition of “Jesus Saves,” a song that Thomas Rhett described as the “best song of the year.”
“Not that my opinion really matters, but I think Riley Green’s song ‘Jesus Saves’ is the best song of the year.”

One would think that a song as powerful and universal as “Jesus Saves” would lead to the crowd having a come-together moment; however, it seemed like it had the opposite effect on the Fredrick crowd.
It’s hard to see exactly what happened given that TikToker, Kim Conklum, was focused on Riley Green during the beginning of the fight. However, it seems as if one woman pushed another woman at some point during the performance with one yelling, “She pushed me first.”. This led to multiple people attempting to separate the two before security came over to de-escalate the situation.
After finishing the song, Green said to the crowd, “I’ve never witnessed anyone get into a scuffle during a song called ‘Jesus Saves’ before.”
