Chris Stapleton expanded his collection of RIAA honors today, gaining both gold and platinum certifications for 4 top-streaming songs. The 2017 tracks “Without Your Love” and “A Simple Song” became certified gold for the first time, while 2020’s “Joy of My Life” went platinum. Stapleton reached a significant milestone with an older track as well. “Parachute,” the third single from his 2015 debut record “Traveler,” officially hit multi-platinum status, as it surpassed 3 million units in both downloads and streams.
After his recognition from today, Chris Stapleton now has an impressive number of RIAA certifications for 2023 – 12, to be exact. This puts him neck and neck with Morgan Wallen (who also has 12), and ahead of just about every other country artist this year. They’re both outranked by Luke Combs, who’s earned so many I got tired of counting, but it’s a notable accomplishment nonetheless.
