Dude came out of nowhere.
First things first, I had ZERO idea who Oliver Anthony was up until about two days ago. But if you’ve casually scrolled through TikTok or Instagram as of late, you would assume the Virginia native was a superstar, racking up millions of views and likes with his incredible song, “Rich Men North of Richmond.”
The song, released on August 9th through radiowv’s Youtube account, sends a powerful message from blue-collar America to the politicians in D.C. and Anthony’s vocals give the message the honesty and conviction it needs.
Today, the song shockingly (or not shockingly, I’m not really sure at this point) hit No. 1 on iTunes, all-genre and it appears that Anthony may be able to quit his day-job soon.

“Rich Men North of Richmond” and “Try That in a Small Town” pretty much sums up our current tyrannical state of affairs in our beloved country, the good ol’ United States of America!
