That’s not something I ever thought I’d hear.
Seemingly every day there’s some sort of interesting new use for AI, and one of the coolest is AI generated voices. You can basically recreate any famous voice using these new tools and get them to say, or in this case sing, anything you like.
The latest viral application of the technology is a TikTok account Called White House Records, which features the fake voices of Donald Trump, Joe Biden and Barack Obama covering all sorts of pop and country hits.
The most viewed video from the account features all three “teaming up” to play the Marty Robbins classic, “Big Iron.” As of right now, the video has been viewed over 4.7 million times and has received over 600,000 likes. For more modern fans, you can listen to Trump cover Morgan Wallen’s recent smash hit, “Last Night.”
Even though you know it’s just AI, there’s still something that doesn’t sit right hearing a former president sing about making you “grip the sheets with your fingertips.”
The account creates these sorts of covers across multiple genres, but some of the most viral videos have featured country songs. My personal favorites are hearing Trump sing George Strait’s “All My Exes Live in Texas” and Biden’s take on John Denver’s “Country Roads.”
This technology has come a long way very quickly, and while it isn’t perfect yet, it seems to only be getting better. Recently, a recording of an AI Taylor Swift singing a cover of Zach Bryan‘s “Something In the Orange” went viral, and as more people get exposed to using AI, we’ll only see more and more of these types of videos.
