Charles Wesley Godwin is currently experiencing serious acclaim and success from his newest album and Big Loud label debut, “Family Ties.“
The independent country artist’s fanbase grew massively after joining Zach Bryan on tour, and continues to spread as he puts out more and more music.
After the huge success of “Family Ties,” many newer fans are now being introduced to his earlier work from his 2019 debut album, “Seneca.” The project has gained more love in recent years as his name continually grows within country music.
The most popular song on“Seneca” is “Hardwood Floors,” becoming a fan-favorite amongst the Charles Wesley Godwin faithful and amassing the most streams off the debut project.
The 30-year old singer/songwriter wrote the song himself, revealing he drew inspiration for the tune from fellow artist Ryan Bingham, whom he shares some similarities with sonically and has even covered in the past.
Back in January of 2020, a then-shorter-haired Godwin performed an incredible, acoustic rendition of “Hardware Floors” for Paste Magazine, where he shows off his authentic sound.
The dude is simply an amazing performer and his talent is second to none within the genre right now. The voice, the guitar, the look- it all compliments each other perfectly, helping turn Godwin into one of the most intriguing names in country music these days.
