Makin’ a comeback.
Dierks Bentley has been pretty quiet for the past five years, with “The Mountain” being his last major project back in 2018. While it wasn’t as country-sounding of a record as I’d hoped for, “The Mountain” still gave gave us hits like “Woman, Amen” and the under-hyped “Goodbye in Telluride.” It also included “Burning Man,” the single that earned Gold AND Platinum status in 2019. As of February 24th, the track is now 2x Certified Multi-Platinum.
This also happened to be the day Dierks released his newest record“Gravel & Gold”. The 14-song album is honestly already better than the last, and has changed my mind about Dierks Bentley entirely. I was wrong, the guy’s still got it.
It could be a coincidence, but I think a Multi-Platinum single on the same day of his album release is a sign of a killer year ahead for Dierks Bentley. The“Gravel & Gold” era might be a comeback-in-the-making for Dierks, and I am absolutely here for it.
