Granger Smith, who has released 11 studio albums and is also famous for his alter-ego, Earl Dibbles Jr., has announced he is officially leaving Country music for his “strong desire” to pursue ministry.
Granger made the announcement in an emotional and heart-felt video posted across his social media accounts earlier today. It’s not a total shocker, considering Granger has been open about his faith for quite some time and even starred in the movie “Moonrise,” from the Christian and family-friendly streaming service Pure Flix, but what is shocking is the news that he is stepping away completely after 24 years in the business.
This doesn’t mean I’m going to start a church or a crusade or a revival, this means that me and my family are going to serve our local church.
