Takin’ y’all all the way back to 2004.
CMT’s Crossroads have given us some pretty amazing collaborations over the years, as well as some pretty bad ones, if we’re being honest. However, this one is for the story books.
18 years ago, one of Country’s biggest stars teamed up with one of the smoothest singer/songwriters in the pop-rock world to duet a handful of each others songs and one of the most notable is their performance of Brad Paisley’s 2003 hit, “Little Moments.”
“Little Moments” often gets forgotten when talking about great Country songs, especially in Brad’s hefty catalog. However, it’s one of those songs I appreciate more and more as time goes by.
Brad’s known more for his guitar playing and consistency in the genre more than his vocal talent so pairing up with John Mayer makes this version pretty damn good. The two even went on to perform together again on the ACM Awards in 2013.
When you think of cute and romantic Country songs from the 2000’s, you think of Brad Paisley.
Check out “Little Moments,” as well as the duo performing Mayer’s iconic song “Daughters” below. (Skip to 12:20 for Little Moments).
