A hit. On June 26th, the RIAA officially certified “Head Over Boots” by Jon Pardi as a massive 5X Platinum. A platinum certification means the song or album has sold a million units, which in this case, Head over Boots has now sold a combined 5 million. Written by Pardi, as well as Luke Laird, Boots was released to radio in 2015 as the lead single to “California Sunrise,” arguably his biggest album to date. The song became Pardi’s first ever No. 1, followed after “Dirt On My Boots,” which really made Jon a household name in Country music. Listen…

A classic. On June 28th, 1999, Tim McGraw released one of his most popular songs to date, “Something Like That.” Written by Rick Ferrell and Keith Follese, the song, known for its “BBQ Stain” reference, was the second single from McGraw’s “A Place in the Sun” album and became his tenth No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles & Tracks. As of today, Something Like That is certified 2X platinum by the RIAA and is still one of the great Country songs from the 90’s. Check it out below.
Throwback Tuesday? Back in 2015, Kings of Leon and Chris Stapleton shared the stage together to perform a cover of one of the most iconic songs to ever exist, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.” The band, known for songs such as “Use Somebody” and “Sex On Fire,” were one of the performers during Nashville’s New Years Eve celebration almost 8 years ago and played for a crowd of more than 150,000 people. And let me tell ya, they KILLED it. Watch the video below. You’re welcome.
What a helluva run these boys are on. Today, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” holds the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for a 12th week, while Luke Comb’s cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” jumps to No. 2 With those two songs simultaneously claiming the top two spots on the chart, it makes the first time two Country artists have done it since 1981 when Eddie Rabbitt’s “I Love A Rainy Night” was at No. 1 and Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” was at No. 2. Billboard’s Hot 100 chart includes U.S. Streaming, radio airplay and sales data across…
This is getting exhausting (but like, not in a bad way). Morgan Wallen once again breaks another record with his latest 36-song album, “One Thing At A Time.” The album officially clocked in its 14th total week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it the record with the longest weeks at No. 1 for any album since Adele’s “21” logged 24 nonconsecutive weeks at the top spot in 2011-12. On top of that, it’s also the #1 song on Billboard’s Hot 100 for a 12th week and now the longest running No. 1 album of the…
We need a full version of this asap. Just recently, Lee Brice posted a video on social media of him in front of his piano covering one of the most popular Worship songs of all time, “Oceans,” by Hillsong UNITED. Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) was released in August of 2013 as the second single from the Australian bands album, “Zion.” The song is popular, even amongst people who don’t go to church often or listen to Christian music. Even after all these years, you’ll still find soundbites of the song on TikTok videos and worship teams everywhere playing it…
