Chris Young has been trending in the headlines ever since he was arrested at the Tin Roof bar in Nashville last week.
According to court documents, the 38 year-old country singer got into an altercation with TABC agents after a compliance check. He then followed the agents to the DawgHouse Saloon, asking multiple questions while filming them.
According to one of the officers, Young “put his hands out to stop me from leaving the bar and struck me on the shoulder.”
According to the affidavit, the agent pushed Young “to create distance” and then bystanders got between the two and began “yelling and screaming” to break it up. Another agent apparently tried to have a conversation with Young, who reportedly began walking backward and not complying with direct orders.
The arrest documents state that it took two agents to physically restrain and put the “Gettin’ You Home” singer in handcuffs. Young was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and assault of an officer.
He was released the next morning and all charges were dropped after a video was released showing one of the officers shove Chris to the ground.
Well, as of yesterday, Chris shared a video to his TikTok account from a different angle, with a caption in the description that read; “stop coming at me.”
The text over the TikTok video that Young posted also reads:
“For all the trolls saying ‘don’t touch a cop,’ I didn’t touch him.”
Chris recently announced his new album, “Young Love & Saturday Nights,” will be released on March 22nd, and you know what they say…all publicity is good publicity. And hey, it appears the agents weren’t exactly truthful.
