Another one…
Last night at Jason Aldean’s show in Savannah, Georgia, the “She’s Country” singer came out firing, playing a plethora of hits including “My Kinda Party,” “Burnin’ It Down,” “Fly Over States” and his controversial #1 hit, “Try That In a Small Town.”
Everything was going smoothly for the Georgia native until a fan decided to jump on stage during the end of the performance of his 2009 #1 hit, “Big Green Tractor,” late in the show. He never made it to Aldean, but instead, he was carried out by police officers and a security guard. In what can only be described as embarrassing, the fan was carried off by his ankles and shoulders while raising his fist in the classic “rock-n-roll” hand gesture.
Though it’s not heard in the video posted below, TikToker, @laynetylers, wrote in her caption that Aldean said, “Well, that’s got to be the dumbest thing he’s ever done in his life.” after the whole ordeal was over.
Ironically, this happened on the same night that a fan jumped on stage and actually shook hands with fellow superstar, Zach Bryan, during his performance in New Orleans, Louisana. I don’t know if there was something in the air last night that caused not one but two country concerts to be interrupted by fans storming the stage, but what I do know is that security at these massive venues needs to do better. I do have to give props to the cops and security team here at Aldean’s concert for actually escorting him off promptly unlike the team at Bryan’s, however.
It should go without saying that you should not storm the stage of your favorite artist when they’re performing, but in 2024, it seems like the obvious needs to be stated.
