Kenny Chesney has officially announced his first album release in four years.
The 55 year-old superstar took to social media this morning to announce his twentieth studio album, “Born,” will officially be released on March 29th.
Born will be Kenny’s first studio album since his 12-track “Here and Now” project was released back in May of 2020. Since then, Kenny has released one single, presumably to be featured on his upcoming record, titled “Take Her Home.”
In a recent press statement, the six-time Grammy nominated singer revealed that spending over three years between albums felt “different” and allowed him to take his time writing and choosing songs. He also admitted that, although the release date has been set, he hasn’t finalized which songs will make the cut:
“As for the title, well, we’re still not quite done deciding what’s going on here, but one thing’s for sure… ‘Born’ is absolutely the title track. It’s got a lot of heart, a lot of soul, and it speaks the truth about living, life and what we’re all doing here.”
Chesney is also gearing up to hit the road on the “Sun Goes Down” Tour, set to kick off a month after the new album’s release in Tampa, Florida on April 20th. The tour will also feature Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker. You can view those dates here.
