I can name a ton of artists who stay quiet about release dates and taunt fans for MONTHS on end (Lookin’ at you, Warren Zeiders) but Luke Combs isn’t one of ’em. Luke has always been transparent about his music and when it’s coming out. He’s been especially open about it recently, as the release date of his fourth studio record, “Gettin’ Old,” quickly approaches.
It’s been a few weeks since the “5 Leaf Clover” news broke, but Luke jumped on social media Sunday to share the background of what inspired the song. He posted a personal message to fans explaining why he recorded it and how it came to be. Luke did the same thing with the release of “Love You Anyway,” and again when he dropped “Joe,” two of the eighteen tracks to be included on his upcoming album out March 24th.
Turns out this song was actually inspired by a 5-leaf-clover, and it was written in just a day, which is honestly cool AF. Luke also shared the positive response the song got from fans and Y’ALL! This guy listens!!! After he summed up the story behind the song & it’s title, his post ended with “Y’all quickly let me know it was one I had to record; that’s why I’m super pumped for y’all to finally hear it THIS Friday, March 17!”
