A fatal boat crash took place early this morning in Brooklyn, New York, that left one man dead and three others injured.
According to authorities, two small boats collided into each other just before noon near Plumb Beach, in the Gerritsen Creek waters with four total passengers. Two men in their late fifties and a 45-year-old woman were on one vessel and a 68-year-old man was on the second.
According to the NY Post, police say one of the men in their late fifties was administered CPR on the scene, yet later died after being brought in to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health in critical condition.
Although the crash caused the passengers on board to go flying into the air, the 45 year-old woman suffered just minor injuries, while the other two men were taken to to Coney Island Hospital in stable condition.
No official statement on whether or not alcohol was involved has been released at this time.
