Bless your heart.
Megan Moroney pretty much blew up on the scene back in December with her debut single at Country radio, “Tennessee Orange.” Now, her sophomore single, “I’m Not Pretty,” from her debut album, “Lucky,” is already climbing the charts and as of today, we have a brand new music video to go along with it.
Directed by Moroney, along with Jeff Johnson, the video brilliantly (and satirically) depicts the songs story, portraying the “nice girls,” with blonde hair and several different pink-colored outfits, living happy and drama-free lives, while the ex-boyfriends new brunette girlfriend (also played by Moroney) just seems to be flat out miserable.
One of the unique things about this video is that the other blonde girls featured are actually Megan’s real-life best friends…
“I cast my best friends in real life to be in it, and thought it was really important to portray the difference in the nice girls that seem to mind their own business and the mean girls who spend all of their time tearing down others.”
Megan also took to Instagram to say this;
“The official music video for i’m not pretty is out now on youtube!!! i got to be a co-director for the first time (LIKE WHAT!!!) alongside @jeffjohnsonimages & it was so magical/insane to see ideas that used to just live in my head be brought to life so seamlessly.”
Looks like it was a blast to film. Check it out here:
