That’s one way to get kicked out of a concert…
Tonight, at his show at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Lousiana, Zach Bryan played a fairly standard set with the performance consisting of tracks such as “I Remember Everything,” “Burn, Burn, Burn,” “Oklahoma Smokeshow” and his newest hit, “Pink Skies.”
It’s become a common practice during the Quittin’ Time tour for Bryan to surprise fans and bring out stars for the show-closing performance of “Revival,” with everyone from Shane Gillis and the “hawk tuah” girl, Haliey Welch to Bruce Springsteen and Tate McCrae coming out to perform the RIAA-certified gold hit with the “Something in the Orange” singer.
Tonight, however, the surprise guest at the concert was not just a surprise to the crowd, but for Bryan and the band as well, when a fan somehow made his way past security and jumped on stage. During the beginning of what sounds like “Quittin’ Time,” a fan can be seen making his way to the center of the stage and shaking Bryan’s hand.
Confused, Bryan also reached out his hand before the fan was escorted off the stage by his bassist, Zephyr Avalon, as well as J.R. Carroll. After the fan left the stage, Zach addressed the crowd; “Had no f*cking idea who that was.” He also added, “Don’t sneak on this stage, man, but that kid is a legend for doing it.”
While it made for a pretty funny moment, it should go without saying that you should not jump on stage and try to meet your favorite artists. Sure, we all love Zach (sometimes I think a little too much, especially if you check out his subreddit), but we’re all better off watching the artists do their thing on stage and not a kid who’s had one too many Bud heavies during the show.
