Celebrating the women in his life.
Today, Sam Hunt is officially back with another new single. Instead of touching on small-town breakups and lost love, Hunt pens a heartfelt track reminiscing about the lessons learned from the women closest to him.
Women In My Life comes in a string of singles released from Hunt lately, with Walmart and Outskirts also being released over the past few months.
Co-written by Hunt and long-time collaborator, Josh Osborne, the track serves as an ode to all the women who have impacted him throughout his life. He packs the song with small details, such as listening to Aretha Franklin and “knowing 7:30’s more like 8:00,” thanks to all of the advice he’s received from them.
In an Instagram reel promoting the track’s release, Hunt says:
“So much of the peace and joy I carry around as an adult comes from the women who raised me and poured love into my life throughout it. There’s no telling who or what I would be without them. God bless them all. I’m forever grateful.”
In the same Instagram reel, Hunt also teased that he has multiple new songs in the works after Women In My Life; however, he unfortunately does not have a traditional album planned.
“I don’t have a traditional album in the works but I do have a few more songs I’ll be recording and putting out as soon as I can get them finished.”
