Man, where has the time gone?
On June 19th, 2006, Taylor Swift, one of the biggest artists in the world with probably the most die-hard fan base ever, dropped her first single, “Tim McGraw.”
Co-written by Taylor Swift when she was just 14, the song is about two young lovers’ summer fling coming to an end and hoping he still thinks of all those nights they spent together whenever he hears a Tim McGraw song.
Swift has dominated the music industry, no matter what genre it is, and there’s no denying that she’s one hell of a songwriter. While it’s difficult to comprehend how she went from the girl with a southern accent writing Country songs for 15 year old girls, to seemingly drastically also changing her personality, Swift pulled the switch and officially changed her genre to pop….something so many “Country” artists should just do, and for that, she’ll always have my respect.
This album is FULL of bangers. Not only does it feature “Tim Mcgraw,” but it’s also responsible for a handful of other hits such as; “Should’ve Said No,” “Picture To Burn,” and “Teardrops On My Guitar.”
