Bringing out all the stops.
Last night, Cody Johnson brought his Leather Deluxe Tour to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for a second-straight night and he gave fans in attendance a little more bang for their buck by bringing out two of country music’s biggest stars – Carrie Underwood and Luke Combs.
Ending the show on a high note (or drunk note I should say), Cody brought out the 34 year-old singer/songwriter for a performance of “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” and in honor of the 6x platinum cold can anthem, the two took a moment to shotgun one on stage, with Combs chugging his signature Miller, and Cody gulping down what appears to be a Michelob Ultra.
Of course, CoJo collaborated with Carrie on his recent single, “I’m Gonna Love You,” but it’s also not the first time the Texas native teamed up with Luke Combs. Back in 2022, the duo performed a cover of David Lee Murphy’s 1995 classic, “Dust On The Bottle,” at Mile High Stadium in Denver. And aside from last night, they’re also expected to headline Boots In The Park Festival together in New Mexico come May.
If you were one of the 20,000 people in Music City who just so happened to have the opportunity to attend, I’m severely jealous of you. If not, you can watch the videos that were uploaded to the good ole indestructible TikTok app by those who’d prefer to record the entire concert on their smartphone device rather than living in the full moment. But thank God for those people.
