SUCH a gamechanger for Corey Kent.
Until about this time last year, Corey Kent had been busy making a name for himself as an independent artist and songwriter. With two albums already, he had also played a major role in writing hits like his own “Ain’t My Day” (recorded alongside Kolby Cooper) and the 2018 hit from William Clark Green, “Hit You Where It Hurts.”
In March of 2022, he dropped the single “Wild as Her.” The song instantly locked down the #1 spot on Apple Music’s Country Chart, where it stayed for nearly two weeks. (Should’ve stayed longer, IMO.) People everywhere were streaming the absolute hell out of this track, so it’s no surprise that it became viral in less than a month. Fast forward to July: Kent signed with Sony Music Nashville and continued the massive success.
Corey Kent posted a video performing “Wild as Her” this past Saturday, marking one year since the release of the single that fast-tracked his success. “Thank you for continuing to make “Wild as Her” one of the most streamed country songs in the world!” he captioned the post, sharing it across all social media.
A year later, and this song is still unreal. (And you can’t NOT love Corey Kent after watching this.) Check it out here:
