WATCH: Megan Moroney Absolutely Crushes Cover Of Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way”

Since Megan Moroney released her debut studio album, “Lucky,” last week, I decided to do a quick deep dive and came across her cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Either Way” she posted three years ago to her YouTube account.

Either Way was written by Chris Stapleton, Tim James and Kendall Marvel, but was first released by Lee Ann Womack on her 2008 album, “Call Me Crazy.” Although the song won an award for Best Country Solo Performance at the 60th Grammy’s, most people are more familiar with Chris Stapleton’s version from his 2017 album, “From A Room: Volume 1.

Not only is this one of my favorite Stapleton songs, but hearing Moroney’s raspy vocals on it, made me feel those chill bumps all over again, as if I were hearing it for the first time. Don’t get me wrong, not too many people can out-do Stapleton, but that’s not the point here. Moroney has her own signature sound and even three years ago, she put that same spin on it then that fans are currently loving now from “Lucky.”

I wouldn’t necessarily jump to start a petition to get her to release a studio version of “Either Way,” but let’s just say I think it would do REALLY well. Y’all check out her cover below, as well as my favorite songs off her new album.
