Exactly 5 years ago today, singer Chris Stapleton took home three Billboard Music awards. Stapleton made a name for himself as a solo artist in 2015 with the album release of “Traveller.” Years later, in 2018, Stapleton took home the Billboard Music award for Top Country Album for the creation of “From A Room: Vol. 1.” With hits like “Broken Halos,” “Either Way,” and “Without Your Love,” Stapleton’s masterpiece of an album highlighted the vast musical range he possesses to this day.
All within the same, Stapleton also received the Top Country Artist award and the Top Country Male Artist award. At this point in his career, Stapleton had released three albums, as well as the single “What Are You Listening To?” Stapleton cohesively intertwines outlaw country, Southern rock, and blues. His ability to create music appealing to fans of multiple genres does not go unrecognized.
Between the production of his soulful vocals and raw bluegrass wails, Stapleton hits a sweet spot within all listeners. It was no shock that after three intense, yet beautiful albums, he won the Top Country Artist and Top Country Male Artist awards.
Since 2018, Stapleton has evolved into one of the most iconic country artists ever, as in most cases, he’s now a household name. Releasing one more album since 2018, “Starting Over” is laced with some of Stapletons most popular hits, such as the title-track and “You Should Probably Leave.” More recently, Stapleton performed (and absolutely crushed) the National Anthem at the 2023 Super Bowl, a great achievement pursued by only so many. Stapleton also currently has his own exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville, TN.
Getting inspiration from classic artists such as Keith Whitley, Charles Otis Redding, and Freddie King, Stapleton follows in their footsteps, creating major musical contributions within the country music scene.
