What a combo.
On Friday Parker McCollum played the second of two shows at The Chelsea in Las Vegas, and he had a surprise in store for a crowd that likely included plenty of NFR visitors. In a TikTok that captured the moment, Parker brought out Koe Wetzel to perform the pair’s popular song, “Love.”
The track was released on Koe’s Noise Complaint record from way back in 2016, and although the duo have toured together in the past, Parker mentioned that he hasn’t played the song live in over four years.
Prior to Koe coming out, Parker interacted with the crowd, shaking some hands in the front row and even knowing several audience members by name. He then teased the suprise, saying:
“When you’re in Vegas you gotta do something special, don’t y’all think?”
Parker and Koe make for a great pairing. The two have a fun camaraderie on stage and off, almost like two friends where one is the “wild” one and the other is the tame one. They can be seen on stage sharing a laugh and a hug when the performance comes to an end.
Last year on Theo Von’s “This Past Weekend” podcast, Parker shared a story of a wild night out drinking while touring together. If you haven’t heard Parker tell it, you need to check it out.
