It’s hard to imagine a hotter artist in country music today than Zach Top. After an incredibly successful 2024 which included the release of his debut album, Cold Beer & Country Music, viral hits such as “I Never Lie” and “Use Me” and a fanbase that has grown at an exponential rate, 2025 looks to be an even bigger year for the Washington native.
After scoring his first-ever platinum record for “I Never Lie,” an ACM Award win for New Male Artist of the Year as well as an Album of the Year nod for Cold Beer & Country Music and his first-ever Top 5 hit on country radio with the aforementioned “I Never Lie,” it truly feels like Top is on the cusp on being country music’s next superstar.
On Monday, Top announced another major career milestone on Instagram: he would be making his late night TV debut on The Tonight Show.
Joining the likes of Treaty Oak Revival, Sierra Ferrell, Turnpike Troubadours, Koe Wetzel, Charles Wesley Godwin and Megan Moroney, all of whom made their late night TV debuts within the last year, Top took his classic 90s country sound to the Big Apple with a performance of the aforementioned “I Never Lie.”
To no one’s surprise, the 27-year-old singer/songwriter absolutely crushed it. With many late night performances, there’s often a level of disconnect given the lack of a true audience and concert setting. With Top, however, it didn’t seem to matter. Sounding exactly like the studio recording, he and his band delivered a killer rendition of the smash hit that once again proves why he’s one of the fastest rising stars in the genre today.
Top will be out on the road all summer with Dierks Bentley on his Broken Braches Tour. Upcoming dates featuring the “Sounds Like The Radio” singer include the following:
- 5/29 Austin, TX
- 5/30 Dallas, TX
- 5/31 Tusla, OK
- 6/5 Alpharetta, GA
- 6/6 Tampa, FL
