Ella Langley’s Unstoppable Single “Choosin’ Texas” Is Now Certified Platinum By The Recording Industry Association of America

Ella Langley has been on a hot streak, breaking records left and right with her fan favorite “Choosin’ Texas.”

Released this past October 2025, the insanely catchy tune was recently certified platinum by the RIAA, surpassing one million units sold. Co-written with Texas native and seven-time platinum-album certified artist Miranda Lambert, the track serves as Langley’s official debut single from her upcoming April 2026 album, Dandelion.

This accomplishment also coincides with Langley’s recent climb to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. To put that insanity into perspective, it’s incredibly rare for a country artist to claim that ranking and almost unheard of for female country singers (with less than 10 leading ladies doing so in the past). This feat comes after an 11-week streak on the Hot Country Songs chart.

With its two-stepping beat and undeniably earworm lyrics, it’s no surprise that the song continues to dominate the charts, including both Spotify and Apple Music’s USA Top 50 (further highlighting the momentum behind its recent RIAA certification). Reaching one million units reflects a combination of streaming numbers, digital downloads, and traditional album sales.

With the recent release of Langley’s second single and title track, “Dandelion,” on January 30, along with the upcoming Friday, February 13, release of “Be Her,” the album is shaping up to be a legendary career-defining project for the 26-year-old Alabamian. The “sneaky jammy” title track, as Langley describes it, has already surpassed seven million streams on Spotify alone, setting a strong precedent for Friday’s release and the 15 additional tracks to come on April 10.

Given that this third studio album is ushering in a wave of surefire success for the singer-songwriter, now is the perfect time to secure tickets for her upcoming Dandelion Tour. Launching May 7 in Toledo, OH, the tour will run throughout the spring and summer, wrapping up fittingly in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 15. Langley will be joined on the road by Kameron Marlowe, Dylan Marlowe, Kaitlin Butts, and more.
