This year’s 68th Annual Grammy Awards featured some big additions to the country sector of the show, including the newly added category for Best Traditional Country Album and the renaming of the Best Contemporary Country Album category. Given that Washington-native Zach Top is pretty much the figurehead for this new era classic country revival, many joked that the category was pretty much made for him. With the western world taking over the media, as Taylor Sheridan dominates television and country music leads the charts, there’s been a growing crossover between actors and singers stepping into each other’s worlds. It all started with artists like Lainey Wilson, Tim McGraw, and Ryan Bingham branching out into acting on Yellowstone, with the show also continuously highlighting mainly red dirt artists on the series soundtrack. Then the show’s fan favorite, “Kayce Dutton” aka Luke Grimes, continued his dabble in music with his latest debut album release on April 3, Redbird. And of course, Grimes’ writing relationship with Riley Green…

Keeping on theme, Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell hopped on the stage at exactly 4:20 to unveil the figure featuring Nelson perched with his classic braids holding a guitar. With a couple of thousand hometown fans watching and a pungent marijuana…

This project also includes some standout collaborations for the Georgia native. He’s joined by his home-state alum and fellow country music superstar, Luke Bryan, on the title track, and steps into new territory with his…
Following yesterday’s massive announcement of the upcoming release of Cody Johnson’s next album, Banks Of The Trinity, his staple track “‘Til You Can’t” is also getting another wave of recognition. The October 2021 song written by Ben Stennis and Matt Rogers has officially amassed a new achievement, going 6x platinum certified by the RIAA. The feat comes a year after it hit 5x platinum in April of 2025. Per the Recording Industry Association of America, this accomplishment means that Johnson’s chart-topping hit has sold six million units (in the United States alone). 1 Unit essentially equates to one paid download…
