Fresh off of her Grammy win with Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce announces a brand new collaboration: We Don’t Fight Anymore featuring Chris Stapleton. The song is set to release on June 16.
Pearce took to Instagram Saturday morning to announce the release of the new song with a mystery feature. Many speculated that it was, indeed, Chris Stapleton due to the length of the name. Two days later, we finally have a confirmation that Stapleton himself is appearing on the track
In the Instagram post announcing the track’s release date, Pearce says,
“This song embodies a place that I think, if we are honest with ourselves, we’ve all felt at some point in a relationship. The distance that feels heartbreaking, yet you’re also indifferent. I’ve always been a writer who never wanted to shy away from the “uncomfortable” moments in all of our lives, and this song feels too important not to share.”
Pearce later thanked Stapleton for making her dream of sharing a song with the Grammy winner come true. Give it a listen next Friday.
