Bringin’ out all the stops.
Last night, Cody Johnson brought his Leather Deluxe Tour to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for a second-straight night and he gave fans in attendance a little more bang for their buck by bringing out two of country music’s biggest stars – Luke Combs and Carrie Underwood.
On top of already getting to hear Ashley McBryde and Drew Baldridge open, the sold-out crowd also had the pleasure of witnessing CoJo shotgun a cold one on stage while performing “Beer Never Broke My Heart” alongside Luke. (You can watch that here). But fans were in for another treat when he brought out Carrie Underwood to perform their recent release, “I’m Gonna Love You.”
The track was released back in September of last year as the lead single off the deluxe edition of Cody’s ninth studio album, “Leather.” It currently sits inside the top ten on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, and should go No. 1 here within the next few weeks.
If you were one of the 20,000 people in Music City who just so happened to have the opportunity to attend, I’m severely jealous of you. If not, you can watch the videos that were uploaded to the good ole TikTok app by those who’d prefer to record the entire concert on their smartphone device rather than living in the full moment. But thank God for those people.
