Always a wild time at a Koe Wetzel concert.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the plethora of videos circulating on social media showing what seems like hundreds (if not thousands) of beer cups being thrown on stage during Koe and Treaty Oak Revival’s show in DC this past weekend.
And while it looked like a fun time (and I’m sure it was), Koe apparently became increasingly frustrated as the night went on, especially after a string of fights broke out in the pit. Some even suggested he ended the concert a little earlier than expected (can you blame him)?
But the very night before, all was well in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. So much so that the rowdiness seemed to have Koe in a good mood (of course because beer cups weren’t being thrown on stage and no drunken brawls seemed to interrupt his performance).
While there isn’t a whole lot of context from this video, it appears one Koe fan decided to have the (liquid) courage to go crowd surfing and somehow found his way to the very front (and in the hands of security).
Koe noticed the situation happening in real time while performing his gold-certified hit, “February 28, 2016,” and sternly told the security guard NOT to arrest the man. While I don’t actually believe that crowd-surfing can result in a charge, it’s still nice to see an artist have their fans’ back.
