The wait is over…
Today, Jake Owen announced that he’s dropping his first album in over four years, titled “Loose Cannon.“
Along with the album announcement, Jake also took to Instagram to post a teaser of him singing the title track, written by Matt Roy, and announced he’s got four new songs dropping THIS Friday.
When referring to the title track, Jake says: “I’ve never met the guy who wrote this song, feel like we’re living the same life though,” he then continues to say “I thought it was the perfect song to title the album after.”
Jake released “My Boots Miss Yours” back in January and recently gave a little insight to how his personal life may affect how his albums turn out.
“I have a lot of darkness in my life too, but I just don’t dwell in it. I find happiness in the brighter side of life. I’ve never enjoyed making dark music but I do find when I listen to songs that I record that have a darker undertone or an honesty to the dark side of my life, they really resonate.”
