Definitely not on my 2024 bingo card.
Last night at the “Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central” show, a plethora of Michigan-based artists were present to celebrate the renovation of Michigan Central, a former railroad station that has not been in use since 1988. Among the performers were Eminem, Jack White, Big Sean and none other than country music’s own Jelly Roll.
After debuting his new song, “Houdini,” Eminem took the stage with Jelly Roll to perform his 2002 hit, “Sing for the Moment.” The pair delivered a killer performance of the 2x platinum track with Jelly Roll singing the lyrics of Aeorsmith’s “Dream On,” which Shady sampled on the original song off his fourth studio album, “The Eminem Show.” This comes just hours after Jelly Roll announced that his brand new song, “I Am Not Okay,” will be released this coming Thursday, June 12.
After the performance, Jelly Roll commented on a TikTok of the performance from user @freckledfarmgirl423 and said, “Wildest moment of my career.”
The show, co-executive produced by Eminem along with his manager, Paul Rosenberg, will be edited down to a one-hour special which will debut on Peacock at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 9.
