How has it been FIVE years already?
On June 21st, 2019, Koe Wetzel surprise-dropped arguably his biggest album to date, “Harold Saul High.“
Filled with both depressing ballads and drinkin’ anthems, the name of the record was inspired from his late uncle and best friend, and is responsible for fan favorites, “Forever,” “Too High to Cry,” and the RIAA gold-certified track “Ragweed.”
The 15-track record helped not only Koe’s career take off, but also the rock resurgence in country music that we’re seeing now more than ever with the likes of Treaty Oak Revival, Ole 60 and more.
During the five years since Harold Saul High’s release, Koe signed a record deal with Columbia and dropped two additional albums, “Sellout” (2020) and “Hell Paso” (2022.) His upcoming album, “9 Lives,” which earned him his biggest Hot 100 chart debut with “High Road” featuring label-mate Jessie Murph, is set to release on July 19th.
So, pour up something strong and crank the sh*t out of “Ragweed” just like you would February 28th on Koe Wetzel day. Oh, and check out one of the most underrated songs on the record, “What You Deserve,” here:
