On Tuesday Tom Brady posted a reel to Instagram of himself taking a few golf swings. In the background of the video, several Morgan Wallen songs could be heard playing, including “Broadway Girls” and “Whiskey Friends.”
Apparently, Morgan noticed.
Wednesday morning Morgan reposted the video to his story, with the caption:
“When we playing a match? @tombrady”
Within minutes, Brady responded. He in turn reposted Wallen’s story, this time adding a simple “LFG @morganwallen.”
Wallen has spoken before of his love of golf, often sneaking in a round while out on tour. In 2022 he and Hardy brought a film crew along to video a round at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, where Morgan talked about how he’s picked up the sport as a way to stay busy on the road.
Brady is an avid golfer in his own right. He previously appeared with Aaron Rodgers on The Match, a series of celebrity golf matches. He and Aaron defeated fellow quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in 2022.
Wallen’s skill level is not public knowledge, but Brady would be a tough foe. His exact handicap is not known, but it is widely accepted that he is either a scratch golfer or very close to it.
Regardless, those two mic’d up on the course would make for some quality content. Let’s make this thing happen.
