I mean, at this point, is it really a shock?
According to Chart Data, a widely followed music-news and chart provider, Morgan Wallen’s “One Thing At A Time” is currently the best-selling album of 2023 so far with 2.199 million units sold.
Not only does he hold the top spot for the year, his 2021 release, “Dangerous”: The Double Album,” is the fifth best-selling album of the year, as well.
At this point, Morgan has broken so many records the past two years that for one, I can barely keep up…and for two, it’s no really no surprise, considering his double-album, “Dangerous,” was also the best-selling album of 2021, all genre.
Just a week ago, Morgan became the first artist to chart three songs in Billboard’s top 10 on Country Airplay since the chart first launched in January of 1990. “Thought You Should Know” came in at No. 7, with “Last Night” at No. 8 and “One Thing At A Time” at No. 9.
“Last Night” also just spent its tenth week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, just behind his 19-week run at no. 1 with “You Proof,” featured on the same, massive 36 song album.
After having the biggest streaming week ever for a Country album, Morgan officially earned his first No. 1 of his career on Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart with “Last Night,” making him the first male country solo artist to accomplish that this century. On top of going No. 1, he also broke the record for most simultaneous entries for any artist in Hot 100 history, surpassing Drake (27) with a whopping 36 songs at once.
It’s really just the album that keeps on giving…
