Returning to the West Coast for a string of shows across California on his 2026 headlining tour, Parker McCollum had a very special guest in store for the crowd this past Saturday, June 20.
Rounding out his string of three stops over the weekend in Sacramento, McCollum brought out one of his biggest and most adorable fans, 13-year-old Hoyt. Dressed fittingly in his camo hat and Parker signature belt buckled blue jeans, Hoyt made his return alongside the “Pretty Heart” singer for a second time around.
This time last year, the two met for the first time in McCollum’s meet and greet line ahead of his August 2025 concert at Ironstone Amphitheatre in Murphys, California. Hoyt, whose sister shared via a TikTok video, has Down syndrome and is a McCollum super fan, had one wish before his big 13th birthday.
Obsessed with singing his songs, playing along on his miniature guitar, and dressing just like the country star, his ultimate goal was to be on stage with his musical hero. Officially making his dreams come true by singing “Burn It Down” with McCollum at last year’s show in August 2025, they ran it back with an equally awesome performance over the weekend.
Bringing him up on stage, McCollum told the crowd, “Hoyt was in the meet and greet tonight, and it was my first time seeing him since he killed ‘Burn It Down’ last year.” Adding, “I said Hoyt, ‘what do you want to sing tonight,’ and he said ‘I wanna sing Killin’ Me.'”
So sure enough, serenading the crowd with the promotional single from his self-titled ACM Album of the Year, the two left not a dry eye in the arena with their performance. Giving his duet partner the spotlight with the last line before letting out an enthusiastic, “Let’s Go Hoyt,” as the crowd erupted, McCollum embraced his young fan in a big hug.
Continuing on his hefty lineup of dates for the remainder of the summer, McCollum will return to the stage this upcoming weekend, starting Thursday, June 25, in Nampa, Idaho. Joined by the likes of Josh Abbott Band, Kassi Ashton, Laci Kaye Booth, Tyler Halverson, and more, he’ll wrap things up on September 26 in Beaumont, Texas.
