Post Malone‘s country era is in full swing, previously releasing “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen and “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton — as well as working on some brand new tunes alongside HARDY, Chris Stapleton, Sierra Ferrell and more as we speak — as the release of his debut country album, F-1 Trillion, inches closer and closer. Recently, Luke Combs entered the conversation, releasing a collaboration with Post titled “Guy For That” today (July 26) on all music streaming services.
Well, only after weeks and weeks of teasing via social media, of course…
The duo first teased “Guy For That” on July 10, with Combs taking to Instagram to share a snippet of the song with the caption, “We doin’ this or what, @postmalone?” Post replied, “Okay, FINE 😤 but you like this more than the other one?!?! 😈”
Naturally, fans could not contain their excitement:
“Gonna need you to drop this on Friday for when I crack open a cold one. Appreciate it brotha!”
“I’m so damn glad I’m alive in this era of music.”
“OMG YOU SOUND SO GOOD HELLO?????”
Things amped up a notch on July 17 — the day after Post’s private “A Night in Nashville” performance, presented by Bud Light — as Post and Combs were spotted downtown, seemingly filming a music video for “Guy For That” in the middle of Lower Broadway. The pair sang the soon-to-be hit song on a moving platform, cruising past Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar in a video shared to TikTok.
Once again, this left country music lovers as eager as can be for what’s to come:
“Imagine being here right now!! I am not jealous, not at all 🥲”
“Would be so epic to see this 🙌🔥”
“Dang, I can’t believe I missed it 😩”
To coincide with the release of “Guy For That,” Post and Combs dropped said music video on YouTube, and as one can assume, it is filled with Nashville flair. In the video, the duo is seen leaving a bar to use the restroom, walking into respective port-a-potties that happen to be on a truck. When they are finished doing their business — for lack of a better term — Post and Combs open the door to see that the truck as moved, as they are cruising down Lower Broadway while surrounded by some adoring fans.
“Craziest piss of my life,” Post says to conclude the music video, when he and Combs return to the bar, and we could not agree more…

In the meantime, it’s safe to say that will be keeping up with Post Malone on his various social media platforms to see what’s to come in his country music journey. Fingers are crossed his collaboration with Chris Stapleton is next!
