Condolences in advance to everyone who’s had their heart set on Riley Green as their country music man crush. It seems the “Don’t Mind If I Do” singer has already found his lucky lady in the audience of a recent show.
Green took to TikTok to post a clip of him mid-performance of his steamy hit, “Worst Way,” during his show at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, on Friday night, August 1. The 19-second video shows him taking a moment to pull his baseball cap off his head and sign it for a lucky fan at the concert.
With the caption, “First time I’ve ever dedicated Worst Way to someone in the crowd,” the clip then pans to the hat getting tossed towards someone’s very smitten grandmother, who catches it in awe. With the older woman’s face blushing as she sways, a hilarious pop of text follows that reads, “Call me.”
Given that the post is also captioned with the same two words, I think Green is pretty serious about this new relationship, so all other gossip about who he’s dating can officially be put to an end. You know what they say when a cowboy lets a lady wear his hat.
Fans sounded off in the comments of Green’s gesture, which I’d say is about the country equivalent of Justin Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl” bit.
“She felt the 50 Shades of Green tonight.”
“She literally was that 18-year-old girl in love with a country heartthrob again, and I absolutely love every second of it!!!”
“So I should skip my Botox? Got it 🤣”
Upon catching it with excitement, the older fan immediately puts on the hat, which appears to be a “Durham Bulls” cap. There’s no doubt this was a heartwarming moment for the jubilant granny as well as all of the fans watching in the audience. I’d argue that getting picked out of a crowd to wear Riley Green’s hat as he serenades you on the electric guitar during “Worst Way” would be a top 10 lifetime high at any age.
Hopefully, she has his number to fulfill his request and become his new “You Look Like You Love Me” duet partner, but that will have to remain a mystery for now. Luckily for fans, there are still plenty of opportunities throughout the rest of his “Damn Country Music” Tour to experience the magic of his shows live (and maybe even become the recipient of his next hat toss).
