Seems like Riley Green is already fitting in on the set of The Voice perfectly.
The show’s 30th anniversary season is set to premiere in just a month on Monday, September 21, just three days after his upcoming album That’s Just Me drops. In the meantime, the “Think As You Drunk” singer has already been flying out to Los Angeles to film most of the show’s pre-recorded episodes.
Taking the seat in his big red revolving chair (with his very own cowboy hat holder), this fall Green joins the likes of returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, alongside fellow newbie Queen Latifah. Talk about a whole lotta personality filling one room.
Apparently, the social media team is using the stars’ budding dynamics to their advantage with one TikTok account, the “anonymous producer” giving a glimpse at some behind-the-scenes moments on set. The account’s first video showcases the social ladies using their free will and a little bit of AI technology to recreate Lionel Messi’s and baby Lamine Yamal’s iconic World Cup picture…except edited with Riley Green and Adam Levine’s faces.
For those who don’t know, Green’s got a pretty dry cut, sassy sense of humor, and this clip is the epitome of that. The girls approach him, asking if he’s seen the photo, to which he snarkily replies, “I’m sorry, I’ve been at work. I haven’t been surfing the internet all day with cool sunglasses on.” Adding, “What do you want? Just ask me the question or get me to do the thing. The TikTok video you wanna do.”
Upon flipping around the phone, showing the photoshopped image, he confusingly responds, “Why’s he washing me? That’s Adam Levine washing me. This is just a grown man washing a baby version of me with a mustache.” He then insinuates the photo is a little perverted, pondering why Levine is looking at his naked baby-self in the bathtub, exclaiming, “This is disgusting.”

He jokingly shows the photo to his fellow coach, emphasizing, “You’re disgusting. I don’t even remember that.” Levine responded, “You were a little drunk.” Guess they filled baby Riley’s bottle with too much bourbon that day.
Safe to say, Green’s not a soccer, or I guess I should say futbol, fan? Levine tries to explain, “it’s that picture of Messi,” to which the Alabama native quips back, “that picture’s plenty messy if you ask me. Y’all are sick.”
The ladies doubled down today by reviving Coach Clarkson’s debut film poster. Wildly enough, after winning the first season of American Idol, she was contractually forced to do a musical rom-com, From Justin to Kelly, which she doesn’t necessarily remember fondly.

The team took it upon themselves to replace her co-star Justin Guarini, the runner-up on the movie poster, with none other than the mustache-yielding country music star. This time around, he was pretty entertained by the Photoshop work, immediately calling over Kelly, who jokingly replied, “This is the greatest movie you’ve never seen, and if you are a friend you’ll never watch.”
Handing the phone back to the social media girls, still scarred by the first image, he added, “I’m just glad I’m not naked in a bathtub.”
I’ve got a feeling this upcoming season is bound to be a hoot and a holler. Green will return to NBC in 2027 as well as he coaches the special debut of The Voice: Celebrity Edition alongside Queen Latifah once more and Joe Jonas.
