Man, I love these types of videos.
While casually scrolling on the internet, I found this absolute gem of a throwback video featuring a 2016 jam session between Luke Combs and the boys from Muscadine Bloodline.
Surrounded by nothing but (presumably empty) beer cans and good friends, the three were hangin’ out backstage drinkin’ and whomever decided to pull out their iPhone 6 to record ’em singin’ “Hurricane” deserves a big ol’ check for blessing our feeds.
Hurricane was Luke’s first ever single at Country radio. It first charted and gained success in 2015, helping Luke score a record deal with Sony Music Nashville. It was then officially released through Columbia Nashville in October of ’16.
It shot up to the top of the Country airplay chart in May of 2017, remaining there for additional week, making Combs the first artist to score multiple weeks at #1 since Florida Georgia Line’s
“Cruise” spent three back in 2012.
The track is now certified an impressive 9X platinum by the RIAA and kicked off a series of 17 straight #1’s for the When It Rains It Pours singer.
Gonna start a petition for the boys to get back together in this sort of atmosphere and, hell, I don’t know…maybe do an Instagram live session? The fans (including myself) would eat it up.
