Two of the best up-and-comers in the game right now.
Wyatt Flores recently joined Charles Wesley Godwin on the road for a short stint of shows out on the West Coast. Just after wrapping up their last show together in Washington last week, the duo took to social media for an ode to Chris Knight with a cover of his 2003 song, “The Jealous Kind.“
Godwin recently featured a cover of the song back in February on his “Live From The Church EP” and if I’m being completely honest, I had never heard that specific Knight song before, or at least gave it much after-thought If I had.
So first and foremost, kudos to Charles for giving me a new song to jam to, with two versions to choose from. And kudos to Wyatt for taking it to a whole ‘nother level.
Aside from that acoustic cover video, it would also appear the two had a lot of fun out on the road together from this clip of “Life Is A Highway” that Wyatt posted to Twitter last week. Charles looks like he’s simply having the time of his life and the crowd is INTO it. And let’s be honest, no matter what you tell yourself or how hard you try to fight it, Life Is A Highway is a JAM.
