The duo we didn’t know we needed.
Known for his impressive songwriting and his half-rock, half-country music style, HARDY has emerged himself as one of the biggest artists in the entire genre right now.
Over the weekend, he played for a sold out crowd in Lima, Ohio, at the Allen County Fairgrounds and let’s just say, it seems like the crowd got their money’s worth.
There to open the show was one of the hottest (and probably my favorite) up-and-coming act in Country music right now, Ella Langley.
Named by Spotify as one of 2023’s “Hot Country Artists to Watch,” the Alabama-born singer-songwriter has quickly amassed several million streams since the release of her debut EP, “Excuse The Mess,” and is no stranger to flirting with rock music herself, featuring Koe Wetzel on the toxic relationship hit, “That’s Why We Fight.”
After she finished her set, HARDY brought her back out to perform his second single at Country radio, “One Beer.” Written by HARDY, along with Hillary Lindsey and Jake Mitchell, the song originally features Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson, and although at first listen it may sound like another cliche song about beer, the story is actually very well-written and portrayed.
Ella Langley took to social media earlier today to share a clip of the two performing the song and the fans reactions so far have been nothing but positive.
May fu*k around and start a petition to try and get these two in the studio together. Or better yet, to hit the road.
