I bet he’s hurtin’ after that one…
During his set at Coast City Country Fest in Vancouver, BC, Canada last night, Luke Bryan took a hard fall after a fan threw a cell phone on stage during his performance of “I Don’t Want This Night To End.”
The 47-year old country star was walking back from the front of the stage as his 2011 No. 1 hit was coming to an end, when he slipped on the cell phone and fell right on his back. While I’d make a sure bet that Luke woke up with back pain this morning (and probably a nasty hangover), the Crash My Party singer threw his hands up signalizing he was okay, and even took some time to find someone in the crowd who had caught it on camera.
After handing the cell phone that caused him to slip and fall back to the owner, Luke joked, “It’s okay, my lawyer will be calling.” He then borrowed another phone from a fan who caught the entire thing on video and candidly had it replayed on the Jumbotron.
Thankfully Luke was okay, but someone is going to get seriously injured one of these days if fans keep throwing sh*t on stage. Take this as your sign to practice self control, because you may be embarrassed in front of thousands of people (and the entire internet), as well as tied up in court fees if you become the one responsible for an artist breaking their leg.
