Pretty cool moment.
Last night, Luke Combs took his headlining Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour to MetLife Stadium (home of the New York Jets and Giants) in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where he gave fans a little more bang for their buck when he brought out Barstool’s Dana Beers, along with Glen Powell and the rest of the cast members from the new Twisters movie to shotgun beers with him on stage.
Twisters, which is a remake of the 1996 classic of the same name, just hit theaters yesterday (the 19th) and reached a massive $72 million on its opening day at the box office, becoming the 25th-best domestic opening ever for the month of July.
The movie stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos, and more, and that’s exactly who joined the “Beer Never Broke My Heart” singer tonight on stage.
Obviously, Luke has played a big role in the movie with his song “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” which is apart of the highly-anticipated soundtrack that also dropped yesterday. Aside from Combs’ song, the album features a plethora of country artists (and some of the best I might add), from the mainstream, as well as some of the biggest and fastest rising independent artists.
From Megan Moroney and Lainey Wilson, to Flatland Cavalry, Dylan Gossett, Tyler Childers, Wyatt Flores and a ton more, the impressive soundtrack is sure to have something for just about all country music fans.
