If you’re an avid country music listener and a diehard San Fransisco football fan, than you were in for a reaaaal treat this past weekend.
Last night, Luke Combs took his headlining Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old tour to Santa Clara, California, where he performed for a sold out crowd at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Fransisco 49ers.
Although fans obviously paid tickets to see the 34 year-old country star perform all 18 of his No. 1 hits, for a few minutes, Luke might’ve been the third most popular person on his own stage when he was joined by 49ers quarterback, Brock Purdy, and star tight end, George Kittle, to shotgun beers during his performance of “1,2 Many,” originally a collaboration with Brooks & Dunn off his sophomore album, “What You See Is What You Get.”
While Combs stayed true to his Miller Lite brand loyalty, Purdy (who didn’t appear to take one sip), carried around a 12-pack of Bud Light and acted as Kittle’s water boy, tossin’ one after another to his pass catcher as if they were footballs.
While we anxiously wait for football season to come back around, there’s one thing we can all agree on: football, beer and country music just go better together, pun intended.
