Morgan Wallen has been a busy man of late. With his fourth studio album “I’m The Problem” set to drop here in just a couple weeks, he’s already released seven songs off the whopping 37-track record.
Although his most recent release was his collaboration with Post Malone on “I Ain’t Comin’ Back,” the 31 year-old singer/songwriter dropped a pair of brand new songs back in late March, with one of them being “Just In Case,” which has already racked up almost 53 million streams on Spotify alone.
Morgan then revealed what he refers to as “The Shop Sessions,” kicking the YouTube series off with an acoustic, full-band performance of the song (you can watch that here). And if that wasn’t enough, just moments ago he uploaded a video of just him with his guitar performing the first verse and chorus to Instagram, and saying that fans love it would be an understatement…
“This album is gonna change my life”
“That boy that finished a vocal lesson or something, cause that voice is pure country”
“Should do a whole album just like that man.. friggin killing it”
“Respectfully, can we just get a full acoustic album released separately?”
“The way this immediately cures me”
“Love these acoustic versions”
As most of you are probably aware by now, “Just In Case” tells the story of a man entertaining the idea of other women, but making sure not to fall in love “just in case” his ex comes back around and wants to give it another shot. While there’s probably more than a billion breakup songs about guys not being able to move on from “the one that got away,” ‘Just In Case,’ provides a unique spin on the concept.
In addition to the new project, Wallen will also be hitting the road this summer on the I’m The Problem Tour with Miranda Lambert, Koe Wetzel and more. Hitting 10 cities on back-to-back nights, the “Whiskey Glasses” singer will visit the likes of Houston, Seattle and Foxborough throughout the summer.
