What a way to start a tour.
After posting one of the most successful years for any country artist ever in 2023 that included scoring the #1 song all-genre with “Last Night,” being the #1 artist on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, and shattering a plethora of other country sales records, it’s safe to say that Morgan Wallen wanted to kick off 2024 with a bang
Last night, Wallen kicked off his One Night At A Time 2024 tour in style in Indianapolis, Indiana. Performing at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Colts, the “Chasin’ You” singer walked out with long-time punter and current podcast host, Pat McAfee, as well as Pacers point guard, Tyrese Haliburton.
After retiring from football in 2016, McAfee has quickly become one of the biggest names in sports entertainment. The 2x Pro Bowler’s self-titled show, The Pat McAfee Show, is currently the #1 sports show in the nation, being broadcast on ESPN as well as McAfee’s own YouTube channel. On top of that, the former Colts’ punter frequently appears on WWE programs.
When the hottest name in sports entertainment meets up with the hottest act in country music, everyone knew sparks were going to fly. The two walked out to Wallen’s “Broadway Girls” before meeting up with Haliburton who has posted over 20 points per game for the hometown Pacers this season.
Wallen went on to perform a 25-song show that included hits like “You Proof,” “Sand in My Boots,” “Heartless” and the #1 song of 2024, “Last Night.”
