Boots in the Park began their nationwide festival dates in Bakersfield, California, over the weekend in style with Brooks & Dunn, Parker McCollum, Jackson Dean and more performing to thousands of fans across the two-day event.
Saturday saw the most star-studded lineup with both Brooks & Dunn and McCollum performing back-to-back. After McCollum finished his set consisting of hits such as “Hell of a Year,” “Pretty Heart,” “Young Man’s Blues” and his current single, “What Kinda Man,” the 32-year-old singer/songwriter surprised fans by coming out during Brooks & Dunn’s closing performance.
Halfway through their set, McCollum returned to the stage and joined the legendary duo for a performance of their 2003 #1 hit, “Red Dirt Road.” To no one’s surprise, the trio absolutely killed it, and it’s honestly making me wonder why McCollum wasn’t added to either of the Reboot albums Brooks & Dunn have released over the past few years.
