This album is going to be insane.
Over the last 9 months or so, Austin Richard Post (better known by his stage name of Post Malone) has dove head-first into country music with collaborations and performances with seemingly everybody. From his Joe Diffie tribute performance at the CMA’s alongside Morgan Wallen and HARDY last year, to his country cover set at Stagecoach that featured appearances from Brad Paisley, Sara Evans and more, to his recent album teasers featuring Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton, there ain’t a country singer that ol’ Posty ain’t trying to work with.
And at this point, we’re all familiar with his huge collaboration with Morgan Wallen on “I Had Some Help,” as well as his song with Blake Shelton on “Pour Me a Drink,” and now it’s coming full circle after he teased another brand new song with Hardy titled “Would You Hide My Gun,” set to drop on his forthcoming country album, “F-1 Trillion.”
The two debuted the song live at Marathon Music Works for Malone and Bud Light’s A Night In Nashville Concert. In typical Post Malone fashion, the rapper-turned-country singer brought out a handful of artists to join him on stage including Joe Nichols, Blake Shelton and Sierra Ferrell. But of course, the crowd went nuts when Post introduced HARDY:
“I had the opportunity and the blessing to write this song with one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever met, and one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. And he can sing his fu*king a** off.”
Post’s new album will be out everywhere on August 16th. Watch clips from their performance of “Would You Hide My Gun” here:
