Sounds like another big ole hit.
Known for his high-energy beer drinkin’ anthems and fervent love songs, country star Luke Combs knows a thing or two about what it takes to speak to people through his songwriting, and that’s authenticity.
While the country singer clearly knows how to convey topics in a way that his fans can relate to, most of Luke’s songs are inspired from memories or persons/things he holds dear. Whether it be about Miller Lite, his super-fandom for Brooks & Dunn, or his love for his wife, Nicole, Luke unabashedly continues to sing about it.
And over the past 8 years, a lot has changed for the “Better Together” singer now that he is a father of two little boys. Back in March, he shared a song he wrote about his first-born, Tex, titled, “The Man He Sees In Me” and today, Luke took to social media to share a teaser of another new song inspired by his children, “Huntin’ By Yourself.”
“This song is about doing things you love with your kids, but knowing they’ll grow up one day and then you’ll realize it’s never about what you’re doing but who you do it with.”
Per usual, the comment section was full of praise and fans already begging for its release:
“Gonna mess around and get Album of the Year.”
i don’t even have kids n this made me cherish the moments I have w my kids.”
Luke currently sits on 18 No. 1 hits, and to put that into perspective, he’s only released 18 singles in his career. I imagine that streak would continue with any of the new songs he’s been sharing lately. It’s time to drop one Luke. Sincerely, everyone.
